Todos los lugares son perfectos para el que está adecuado a ellos y yo aquí en mi País Vasco me siento en mi sitio, como un árbol que está adecuado a su territorio, en su terreno pero con los brazos abiertos a todo el mundo. Chillida-Leku es la consecución de un sueño durante años anhelado por el autor: Crear un espacio a la medida de su obra donde esta pudiera ser permanentemente expuesta. Este museo monográfico es fiel muestra de la evolución y trayectoria escultórica del autor durante 50 años. Desde sus comienzos, ha tenido la preocupación de acercar la vida y obra de Eduardo Chillida al público, para que todas las personas puedan disfrutar y beneficiarse del legado de este artista universal y es por ello que los alumnos de San Vicente de Paúl han realizado una salida con el principal objetivo de hacer más accesible la obra de dicho autor y de acercarles al arte en general.

Egileak urtetan irrikaz desiratu zuen amets hura, egia bihurtu da Chillida-Lekun: bere obraren neurrira egindako espazioa sortu nahi zuen Chillidak, bere obra ikusgai egon zedin beti. Museo monografiko hau egilearen eskulturak 50 urtez izan duen bilakaeraren eta ibilbidearen erakusgarri leiala da. Chillida-Lekuren kezka nagusietakoa Eduardo Chillidaren bizitza eta obra jendeari hurbiltzea izan da, hasieratik , guztiok izan dezagun artista unibertsal honen ondareaz gozatzeko aukera. Horregatik, San Vicente de Paúl ikastetxeko ikasleek artistaren obrarengana iristeko asmoz eta artea orokorrean beraiengana hurbiltzeko xedearekin, txango bat burutu dute.

Chillida-Leku is the culmination of one of the artist's lifelong dreams: to create a space for his work where it could be on permanent display. This monographic museum is a faithful representation of the sculptor's fifty year long artistic career. Chillida-Leku is the perfect setting to enjoy the full magnitude of this internationally-known artist.
From the time it was first created, the goal of the Chillida-Leku has been to make the work of Eduardo Chillida more accessible so that as many people as possible can enjoy the legacy of this universal artist. Students from San Vicente de Paúl had visited the museum with the objective of bringing the work of Eduardo Chillida, and all art in general, closer to them.
